Legal Shit.

Cookies: We use cookies to collect information about your usage of the site and remember certain browsing preferences. Consent is given for this to happen by the dismissal of the cookie pop-up which appears upon your first visit to Ferrous. This information is simply collected to help us improve your usage of the site. Our primary source for this is Squarespace, our web host, but, as with most online organisations, we also use Google Analytics to provide a broader range of information. What this also means is that certain aspects of the site will be essentially automated/streamlined for users who consent, for example the cookie pop-up won’t bother you again and you won’t be pestered with the sign-up form every time. Cookies can be restricted or even disabled altogether through your web browser.

Privacy: Each time you visit the Ferrous site we collect data regarding your usage which we in turn use to enhance our site, monitor our own performance and improve your usage of it. The usage data we collect may include your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of your service use. This is done through the use of Squarespace, our web host, and Google Analytics but in both cases is entirely anonymous, it doesn’t allow us to know who you are and what you had for breakfast, simply how you used our site. We use two providers in order to provide a greater spread of information. As it stands the only personal data we collect via sign-up forms is a name and an email address, this is given only with express consent and handled with the use of our mail provider, Mailchimp.
